THE WORK AND HEALTH PROGRAMME IS SCHEDULED TO REPLACE THE EXISTING WORK PROGRAMME IN NOVEMBER 2017.
The DWP recently released the Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the Umbrella Agreement for the provision of Employment & Health Related Services (UAEHRS), the framework through which it will appoint providers for the new Work and Health Programme, as well as other potential DWP contracts.
The new Work and Health Programme will continue to focus on those out of work for two years or more, but will also have a much greater focus on people with disabilities and health conditions. It has also been confirmed that the overall budget envelope for the Programme has been much reduced and it would seem clear that DWP is looking for employability providers to detail new innovations, and new approaches to supporting jobseekers more effectively … and efficiently.
For this reason, it is more important than ever that interested providers have the strongest possible business development function to meet the challenging demands of the tendering process.
